En parfaite condition, avec son boitier en acier, cette montre sera livrée avec sa boite, ses papiers de révision avec sa garantie Rolex Service mondial de 2 ans, son calendrier ainsi que booklet Cosmograph.

La montre a bénéficié d’un service complet chez Rolex en Italie et dispose d’une garantie internationale jusqu’en juillet 2023.

Les sous compteurs ayant virés au marron résulte d’une mutation de la couleur initiale qui due à une insuffisance de vernis utilisé pour stabiliser la couleur dans le temps.

Le vernis utilisé est le zapon, incolore et censé empêcher l’oxydation des cadrans.

Ce défaut fut constaté par Osvalo Patrizzi en 2005 alors qu’il mettait en vente sa collection personnelle. C’est ainsi que l’on baptisa le modèle 16520 Patrizzi.

Le cadran d’origine, comporte une série d’écriture sur 5 lignes.

La lunette de type 3 est graduée horizontalement de 60 à 400 unités.

Le mouvement Zenith « El primero 400 » remplace les mouvements Valjoux des Daytona à remontage manuel fabriqués de 1963 à 1988.

Ce mouvement équipera tous les Daytona fabriqués de 1988 jusqu’à l’arrivée du calibre Rolex 4130 en 2000 qui est toujours celui monté sur les modèles actuels.
