Very nice copy of a Rolex GMT-MASTER II, reference 16718 in black dial and bezel version.
The watch spent most of his life in a safe. The case is like new and, even more rare, a jubilee bracelet in new condition without any play between the links.
The 16718 was produced from 1989. The model proposed is a series E, first series manufactured.
The caliber used is 3185, based on the 3135 caliber that was used for the Submariner Date, Datejust, Sea-Dweller and Yacht-Master.
Launched in 1985, the 3185 caliber was the first to allow the GMT hand to be configured independently of the current time by the crown.
It is COSC certified : The Official Offices of the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Control) were founded in 1973 in La Chaux-de-Fonds and it is an independent organization that guarantees the Swiss manufacturing tradition of precision.
The 16718 has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the 6 mm diameter Twinlock ring gives double protection against water and dust infiltrations.
Refined and exclusive, the President's bracelet with a three semi-circular link was created in 1956 for the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date. This bracelet is reserved for some versions in precious metal. It is always with the crownclasp clasp, the elegantly concealed Rolex clasp.
