1988 is the first year of production for the 16618 reference.
This watch has been so little worn that it could be believed that it is a N.O.S (New Old Stock).
Look at the dial. It changes from blue to purple with daylight to recall the blue of the sea.
The case is like new, thick and sharp. The bevels are pointed and it has perfectly defined chamfers. There is an attractive satin finish, which is characteristic of ROLEX. We can easily see the 3 punches on the 18K gold case.
The dial and hands are perfect.
The bezel insert is also perfect.
The watch has the protective stickers from its ROLEX Geneva service.
The bracelet is an Oyster Fliplock in solid gold 18K, reference 92908 20. It is new and fitted with 11 links. An additional link completes the original series which must be 12 links.
In addition to its exceptional condition, it is presented as being “full set”, complete with the following accessories:
A brown leather wallet that includes the original warranty certificate with the serial number punched in the paper and the stamp of the Italian retailer.
The Submariner user manual and the Oyster booklet, both in Italian.
The papers and invoice for the complete revision carried out by ROLEX Geneva in 2016 and a 2 year guarantee provided by the ROLEX worldwide service until March 2018.
