The 5513 Rolex Submariner was produced from 1962 to 1989 to replace the 5508 model.
It differs from its younger, the 1680 appeared in 1965, by the absence of the date and the magnifying glass x2.5 on the plexiglass glass.
With a serial number in the 2 million (23XXXXX), this beautiful 1969 submariner has a beautiful matt dial with "meters first", or "submariner sotto" for the Italians.
The 5513s usually have the inscription "Submariner" in the first line at 6 o'clock. For this vintage model the order is reversed.
Other details make it possible to identify an original matt dial:
The Rolex L at 12 o'clock is with a serif.
Both 6 of the 660 ft depth indication are open.
The Submariner S is flat at each end and the upper part is smaller than the lower.
The "SWISS T 25" at the bottom of the dial takes the space of 5 second indications while for the other 5513, it takes the space of 4 divisions.
If you look at the dial with a magnifying glass, you will notice that the Tritium layers applied to the index are thinner than those of the standard 5513 dial.
The bracelet Oyster 93150 with fixings number 580 is matching to the model.
It is an interesting model to add in a beautiful vintage collection or simply to start it.
