
















Produced in 1976, this watch is a real collector's item in its category.
Indeed, it was born Mark IV dial in 1976 and after many adventures with its owner, it had a complete refit in 2003 by Rolex: Change of the case, change of the dial, the glass and the bracelet.
It is therefore possible today to buy a double red from the 70s in new condition.
The Mark IV models were produced from 1974 with serial numbers between 3.770.XXX and 5.257.XXX (1977).
The replacement dial is therefore a very rare Mark V (2003-2005) with several incredible features: The depth lines of the "Double red writing" are of different sizes from each other (the 2nd line is in font more small) and similar in style to the Mark III model.
It is the only Double Red dial to have the Ft & M measurement indications in italics.
Finally, the Mark V is unique because it is the only one with a Luminova dial although Rolex has kept the indication Tritium at 6 o'clock (Swiss - t
